Hidden Beach: The White Beach Covered By 2 Rocks – Palawan Island

Hidden Beach: The White Beach Covered By 2 Rocks – Palawan Island

Location: Philippines

Hidden Beach is located a Matinloc Island, El Nido, Palawan.

My Experience

Around El Nido lie amazing and….hidden treasures, one of these is Hidden Beach. Besides the pristine white sand shore, I think Hidden Beach offers the best snorkelling spots in that area. This place can be accessed by swimming/walking depending on the tide. There are 2 huge limestone formations: the first one, facing El Nido town, stands meters away from the other, this last one is the reason why this beach is hidden.

The water here is one of the clearest I’ve seen. Swimming from the boat to the hidden beach took about 15 minutes but the beautiful marine life was well worth the effort. We found the relatives of Nemo in the anemone coral close to the beach. Boatmen should try not to damage the corals by stopping their engine before entering the hidden beach. Well, I have to say that this rule is not respected. We stayed at Hidden beach about 40 minutes and we had a lovely lunch prepared by the crew and everything was wonderful.

How to get there, best time and cost

Day Tour C is the name of the Island Hopping tour that you have to choose if you like to see this gem of El Nido. Hidden Beach Palawan was not the only place we explored. We also visited Matinloc Shrine, Matinloc Beach, Secret Beach and Helicopter Island.

The rainy season begins in June and marks the time of the year when it is not recommended to visit the area. Early March is an excellent time to plan your trip to Palawan. In this time the weather is not unbearably hot yet, but the rains have tapered off. You can get the cheapest price for Matinloc Day Tour easily in El Nido for about 1200/1400 per person.

 uTips

  • This amazing place is included in the El Nido Tour C. The cost doesn’t include snorkelling gear which is generally 200 pesos.
  • Bring water shoes for this tour because you will walk on sharp rocks.
  • Bring some water and don’t worry about food, the will cook catch of the day and fresh things for you.
  • My last tip: Don’t get stuck with the thing that ruins your day, life is too short to be wasted in your crap. Smile and be positive because there are so many beautiful reasons to be happy, one of those is travelling

White beach sure beautiful! Too bad that they didn’t respect the rule for not stopping the boat near to the corals. 🙁 I ever once has the same situation, too. And I felt greatly bad seeing all those corals broken when I got out from the boat. 🙁

The Philippines have been on my radar for a while. The beaches look stunning and this one is no exception. I’m not sure how ‘hidden’ it is but it’s great when you find something special.

Hidden Beach is a so beautiful. The water is amazingly clear. It was definitely worth the long swim from the boat.

Hidden Beach sounds awesome! I am all about off the beaten path places/places that aren’t packed with tourists. I’ve never been to the Philippines before but when I do finally make it there, I will check this out!
