Backpacking Peru

Maybe for most of the people Peru just means Machu Picchu, the glorious Inca citadel; But the truth is, this feted site is just a flash in a 5000 year of history of peoples. Google it some places like Chan Chan, the largest pre-Culumbian ruins in all America or fly over the geoglyphs of Nazca, what about the fortress of Kuelap?!?! I Will be sincere with you travellers saying that Peru is undoubtedly my favourite country in South America. Visit remote communities and see how old ways live on, Oh Wow it just opened my hearth to them! Not just culture, tradition, wonderful people and history here, trails mark the way from dense jungle to glacial peaks.

Adventure?!?! Yes! From the capital rush-hour traffic of Lima to relaxing nowhere, this vast country translates to paradise for the active traveller! Me and my wife have found this amazing country rich of adventures: Walking on the giant sand dunes of Huacachina, pilgrimage to an Andean peak believed to be a god, discovering breathtaking landscape at more than 4500 mt altitude and watching the sunset over the dusty remnants of an ancient civilisation: This is Peru and welcome to this unique country!!!
